Why the power rating matters here
Thunderbolt 4 guarantees 40 Gbps of data, but it does not guarantee high power. Many TB4 cables are certified for data and capped at 100W for charging. This one is rated for the full 240W, which means it carries the 5A, EPR-capable e-marker needed to pass that much power. The chip vendor, not the brand
Just like the Thunderbolt 5 cable, the e-marker here does not report “OWC.” It reports Lintes Technology Co., Ltd., the maker of the e-marker chip inside the connector.
